Control Room
The control room is based round a ALLEN & HEATH GS3000 24 channel. Recording Console Features
include 8 audio groups, twin fader, dual path input (100mm 'A' path fader, 60mm 'B' path fader)
2 patchable valve (tube) preamps and 6 auxiliary sends, accessible from A or B path. 4 band EQ
with separate controls for sweep and cut/boost on mid bands. Rotary 'Q' controls, EQ in/out
switching and routing via A or B path.External analogue mic pre-amps can be integrated
into Pro Tools via the RME ADI-8 A/D D/A Converter.
Recording is to Pro Tools 8.04 enabling 64 tracks of audio. Using a Digidesign 002-Rack & Command-8 control
surface. Up to 18 tracks of audio can be recorded in one pass.A wide selection of mics and pre-amps are available.
Pre-amps include:2 x Toft ATC-2, 2 x Joe Meek Twin-Q, 8 x RME Octa-pre. Mics available include: Neuman, AKG, Rode,
Sennhiser, Blue, SE, Octavia, Audix & Shure.
A wide selection of plug-ins are available from Digidesign & Universal Audio (UAD-1). Included are: 'Uri 1176',
'Pultech Pro' & 'Teltronix LA-2A' and many others.
Various outboard is available for mixdowns including Focusrite, DBX & Behringer compresion and a dual engine FX unit
by TC Electronics. Also available is an Akai S5000, Line 6 Pod, EMU Vintage Keys, Kaoss Pad and a selection of guitar
FX units (Electro-harmonix, frostwave, Ibanez & Boss). Studio monitoring is by Genelec.
The control room has a direct line of sight to the live room and a nice comfy sofa at the far end...
